Training Programme On Project Proposal Writing for Fund Raising |
Date: March 11-13, 2008 Venue: Ranchi (Jharkhand) Organised by International Resources For Fairer Trade (IRFT )
Introduction
Civil society organizations, NGOs, Corporate Foundations, Hospitals and Educational Trusts all play a significant role in helping to address India's many pressing social and environmental needs. Yet many of these organizations exist in a state of permanent financial crisis, struggling from time to time to make their ends meet. One of the major reasons is the lack of capacity and skills to develop a sustainable resource base for their organization. Over dependence on grants and government funding leaves many of these organizations vulnerable, to changing priorities amongst the funders. It is also observed that there is a huge dearth of professionally trained resource management and resource mobilization personnel specifically for writing proposals.
Mastering the art of project proposal writing requires a unified approach to project management. This Programme is therefore intended to serve as a basis for delivering training sessions related to the process, as well as the end product of project design.
Who can attend? The programme is intended for middle management level professionals from NGOs, CBOs and Voluntary organizations or any individual wishing to work in development sector.
Methodology The training consists of structured learning exercises, presentations, case studies and games. We favour a participatory approach and a high level of interaction among participants and trainers. Trainers and participants share experiences, good practices and lessons learned to enhance learning opportunities to favour the development of innovative approaches to solve problems.
