Normally, it is a harsh thing to say about any departed soul but V.P. Singh cannot possibly be called a normal politician. The only person who exceeded him in cunnigness and the cost to the Nation in maintaining him, was M.K.Gandhi. But unlike Gandhi, who repeatedly said that his body will get vivisected before he allows the Nation to be vivisected, V.P.Singh did keep his word; he was the worst Prime Minister, before of course, Manmohan Singh appeared on the scene.
