Dear Moderator Ji,, and forum members ,, Any chance one can actually send letters and articles to this forum in Devnagri alphabet? i If so, how does one do that ??? Can someone send me a link to download Devnagri script which I can use to type ( write ) Hindi using my computer?? How easy it is to learn to use the keyboard using a English Keyboard? Where can I buy a Devnagri key board??? ( preferably) with USB connection. It is quite a dauting and time consuming task (both reading and writing ) in English alphabet, our matri bhasha HINDI language articles. Sending few words in SMS is one thing and writing and reading a whole article is another thing. Surely English alphabets are totally inadequate in terms of phonetic expressions of our Indian languages. If Jharkhandis (Santhals in particular use Olchiki giving up amd moving away from Roman alphabets I am not sure it is worth promoting the culture of writing HINDI using English alphabets. I am not against people writing whatever language /alphabets they want to use.. After all communication is a skill of transferring feeling, emotions and thoughts to the other person it is directed to. Just for curiosity.... are there fellow countrymen who correspond regularly ( writing letters/articles SMS etc ) using English alphabets... in .. Tamil, Bengali Gujarati etc etc?// I am so glad people have been taking an active part in this forum. Hope our forum grows from strength to strength. By the way I am visiting Chennai in December 1st week and would like to meet up with any Jharkhandi's living and working there to get aquainted in person and take it from there.
